    Right to Know Request Information
    The Pennsylvania Right to Know Law (RTKL) provides the public with access to government records. Our school district is committed to transparency and welcomes public inquiries about our operations.
    How to Submit a Right to Know Request
    To submit a Right to Know request, please:
    1. Submit in Writing: Requests must be submitted in writing to the District's designated Right to Know Officer. You can submit your request by:

    2. Clearly Identify the Records: Please describe the records you are seeking as specifically as possible. This may include the type of record, the date range, or any other relevant information.
    3. Provide Contact Information: Include your name, address, and phone number so we can contact you if necessary.
    Processing Your Request
    Upon receipt of your request, we will:
    • Acknowledge Receipt: We will acknowledge receipt of your request within three business days.
    • Determine Compliance: We will determine whether the records you are seeking are subject to the RTKL and whether there are any exemptions that apply.
    • Provide Access: If the records are accessible, we will provide access within 30 days of the request. If there are delays, we will notify you and provide an estimated completion date.
    Fees and Exemptions
    • Fees: In some cases, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover the costs of copying or searching for records.
    • Exemptions: The RTKL provides for certain exemptions that may limit access to records. These exemptions include, but are not limited to, records that are confidential under other laws, records that are protected by attorney-client privilege, and records that are subject to executive privilege.
