The Wash High Jazz Band with primarily high school student musicians, performed first at the Junior High Spring Concert under the direction of conductor Stephen Cherry, featuring several solos.
Next to perform was the Junior High Choir under the direction of Sam Farabee. Of the selections they sang, the favorite of the audience and singers was "Pennies from Heaven." According to Mr. Farabee, Tiktok has brought renditions of the old classic back to popularity. The final group to perform at the May 15th concert was the Junior High band under the direction of Stephen Cherry. The band members give their all to show their love of music in their performances for the public. Those moving up to high school will continue to hone their skills in the marching band.
