Despite the pandemic not allowing assemblies, the elementary school students received "power tool kits" of pencils, crayons, rulers, and other school supplies as they have for the past few years. Again, one of the major local sponsors was Washington Financial, along with Ansys. On January 6th, the Education Partnership did a ZOOM meeting with Mrs. Brand's and Mrs. Dowiak's classes. Mrs. Zebrasky, retired principal, is working with the school district as a consultant on special programs such as the Education Partnership, along with Mrs. LeViere who is assistant elementary principal now. Students told staff from the Education Partnership how much the supplies mean to them, to know that they can be ready for class, to do their work. Joining in the call from Washington Financial was Mrs. Brooke Gregg, the bank's Community Outreach coordinator. She explained how much these programs mean to the bank as well. They get to help in their local community and Washington Financial has been involved for about 5 years with Washington Park and the Education Partnership.

Josh Whiteside, the Executive Director of the Education Partnership, thanked the students and business sponsors for making this program work so well. "This school year we have been able to help 60,000 students in western Pennsylvania. We love working with Washington Park Elementary and local businesses in Washington who really make a difference!"
